This update is packed with improvements, bug fixes, and new features across multiple platforms.
Here’s what’s new:
Rhino
- GIS attributes are received as User Strings
Grasshopper
- Added Text object support in Grasshopper in Rhino 8.
- Fixed a bug on the Auto-Receive node that was preventing the receiving of the latest versions pushed to a model.
- Fixed a bug on Column, Beam, Brace, and Wall objects created via Grasshopper nodes. Now, when you try to select them in the viewer, these elements are selected instead of their underlying geometry.
Revit
- Fixed a rare deserialization bug that was preventing receiving a model sent from the Revit.
Dynamo
- Sending Revit elements via Dynamo is back in action. You can now send elements directly from Dynamo.
Archicad
- Openings are now supported!
- We updated the connector icon under the Interoperability dialog on Mac. It looks so much better now!
- Added application icon to the Speckle connector. When you use Command+Tab, you’ll see the Speckle icon instead of a generic terminal icon.
- Added default version message. It adds the number of elements + Archicad version in the version message if you keep it empty.
- Elements now have a
materialQuantity
attribute.
Blender
- Dependencies are installed up to 40% faster on first initialization.
- Blender initializes faster by skipping the update check on dependencies. Enjoy your extra time!
- Fixed a bug that caused the model selection to default to main upon refresh. Your selection is now remembered for a better user experience.
ETABS
- Fixed a bug on Element1Ds where, in the viewer, when users try to select an element, it would choose its underlying geometry rather than the element itself. Now, this is fixed.
- Fixed a bug that was preventing sending from ETABS.
SAP2000
- Fixed a bug that was preventing sending from SAP2000.
Civil3D
- Pipes and structures now have additional properties.
- Corridors now have assemblies and subassemblies.
Power BI
- The installer in Manager now installs both the Data Connector and 3D Visual.
Navisworks
- Refactored and improved logic, leading to approximately a 50% reduction in time … more to come
- Default operation now aggregates all data from “First Object” to “Geometry” allowing for much easier data workflows in PowerBI, Grasshopper and Dynamo
- Option to not convert/send any data properties for lower payload sizes for Geometry only workflows
- ApplicationId for objects reflects the Scene hierarchy position
- Now supports user-created data categories, properties and values, including those created with DataTools and 3rd party plugins
